Light Infantry Company
Total Strength: 163 men (12 Officers and 151 OR) and 4 vehicles

Interface Assault Company HQ: (5 Officers, 8 OR)
A Company Command Section consisting of the Company Commander, the Company Political Officer, the senior NCO, the Signals NCO, Company Standard Bearer and Medic and a two man security detachment. Typically a Heavy Artillery Liaison Officer, Tactical Air Liaison Officer and Astropathic Communications Officer are also attached. Typically mounted in a Chimera APC with a driver and gunner.

Pathfinder Platoon (1 Officer, 17 ORs)
The Pathfinders includes three Pathfinder Teams. The Pathfinder Teams, one to support each Assault Platoon, each consist of 6 troops (1 squad commander, 4 Hot-Shot Lasguns and 1 SAW). Generally each team is attached to an Assault Platoon or operates independently. Typically Man-Portable Fusion Guns (Meltas) or Flame Throwers are assigned to the SAW gunners.

Rifle Platoons x 3 (2 Officers, 42 OR each)

HQ Squad (2 Officer, 6 ORs)
The HQ Squad includes the platoon commander, platoon Political Officer and platoon senior NCO, a signaler/EW trooper with a C3I suite, a runner and a SAW gunner. The officer, NCO and signaler are armed with ARs. Typically mounted in a Chimera APC with a driver and gunner.

2 x Rifle Squads (10 ORs each)
Each Assault Squad includes the squad commander, a SAW gunner, a binom rocket team, a signaler/EW trooper with a C3I suite, and five troopers with Lasguns. The SAW gunner will general be issued an Infantry Fusion Gun

1 x Support Weapons Squad (6 OR)
The Support Weapons Squad consists of 6 troops; 3 binomial teams each operating a Laser Cannon, Heavy Bolter or RAM (rocket assisted mortar). Each squad member carries a standard AR.

1 x Special Weapons Squad (6 OR)
The Special Weapons Squad consists of 6 troops, 3 binomial teams each with a Heavy Anti-Material Rifle (HAMR) sniper weapon (colloquially known as the Kentucky Long Rifle for reasons that remain obscure) or man-portable flamers depending on the mission profile.

N.B. - Battalion level artillery may be attached in the form of an SPA vehicle as well as the company's organic support capabilities.


Vehicle Descriptions

M30 Chimera

The Chimera APC is one of the work-horses of the Imperial Guard, it has six firing ports for the embarked troops, a turrent mounted Multi-Laser (sometimes upgraded to an Autocannon or Heavy Flamer) and a hull mouted Heavy Bolter.

The Chimera is also amphibious and is able to cross most inland water obstacles with relative ease - it is also capable of amphibious landings if seas aren't too rough.
