Hope you all had a happy New Year's Eve and are all reasonably recovered from last night's festivities. This month's update is a little smaller than last (the silly season kept me busy). The video below is from JibJab is one of the best 'Year In Review' videos I've seen.
Now, about the up updates. This update is a few days late, I apologize the new year is very busy at work and this is a hobby project after all. Nevertheless, I have some updates. I have some thoughts on the new Apocalypse rules. I added more details to the Uniforms page, the back-story of the Regimental Homeworld, and to the Codex Doctrines. The regimental personality is starting to take shape nicely.
Some new stuff is up as well, Military Argot (now you can sound like a Guardsman!), along with the Phonetic Alphabet for your radio traffic pleasure.
Hanukkah Harry brought me some used copies of Imperial Armour 1-5 as well as some other Black Library Background Books, so I gots me lots of official fluffy goodness to digest some of which will no doubt inspire some new postings in the coming months.
Being it's the new year, I thought I would share my gamer New Year's Resolutions:
1) I will not buy any more figures until I paint the ones I have or at least sell off the ones I will never get to. (yeah, right!) No really, this is actually reasonable since I have to pay for my daughter's bat mitzvah this year, money will be tight. Fortunately I have seven armies on my work bench (Dwarfs, Wood Elves, Night Goblins, Tau, Chaos Marines, and Genestealer/Chaos Cult) so I won't have any shortage of new forces coming out.
2) I will sell off my duplicate armies. That means I have a painted Empire force that is going on the Ebay block, I may not retain my night goblins... maybe...
3) I will finish painting at least one fantasy (night gobbos or dwarves) and one sci-fi (chaos marines) army this year.
4) I will solve my minis storage issue this year...
5) and lastly, I won't get pregnant - which is the only one of these resolutions I am certain to keep as I am a man. (tip of the pixel to Larry Leadhead)
