New Vehicles and other Heretek ideas

The original point of this project was to make an interesting Imperial Guard army that could be used anywhere without my opponent's permission - however, I have some old models (like my Rapier Laser Destroyer) and some models I made as swap-outs for other games. Examples of swap-outs are the Shomir (guardian) and Maccabee (hammer) grav tanks.

In other cases, the idea was to recreate equipment that was available to the Imperial Army but is no longer in the Imperial Guard Codex. Examples of this include Imperial Guard Jet Bikes, Imperial Guard Bikers, Beastman squads, Imperial Guard Land Speeders, Imperial Guard Predators, Imperial Guard Rhinos, Imperial Guard Whirlwinds.

The Imperial Guard versions of the Land Raider, Land Speeder, Predator, Rhino and Imperial Guard Bikers are pretty straight forward conversions of the Space Marine entries with points and ballistic skills adjusted for their Imperial Guard crews.

Imperial Guard Jet Bikes were extrapolated from the Eldar Jet Bike and Beastman Squads were taken from the old Lost and Damned list, adjusted for 5th edition.

New Wargear

The new items described here are 40k conversions of specialist wargear developed for the Death Squads skirmish game being created by a group of fans. The rules are free and the game is fun to play - it's sort of a cross between Necromunda and Mordheim. The Lyubov Ice River Guards will be an official part of the game later this year. J
