Free Orion ArmyDescription A radical, leftist terrorist group that first appeared in the late 2260s. Attacks made in protest of Federation intervention in Orion economic and political affairs, particularly the extension of Federation membership to worlds being exploited by the pirate cartels such as Coridan. Activities Attacks on the Federation, mainly military, personnel in and around the Orion Colonies and former colonial worlds such as Coridan and Deneva. Claimed responsibility for attack on a liner in March 2290 that wounded seven StarFleet servicemen. Claimed bombing of Peace Corps office in December 2288, liner bombing that wounded three StarFleet servicemen in February 2289, attack on Federation convoy in April 2319, and grenade attack that wounded seven Federation Marines on Argelius in July 2339. The organization has not recently engaged in terrorist activity. Strength Unknown, probably relatively small. Location/Area of Operation Orion Colonies and environs External Aid Had ties to former Klingon Government and possibly the Romulan Star Empire |
