Klingon Uniforms

Unlike Federation uniforms which are designed to clearly define flag, officer and enlisted personnel, Klingon uniforms are nearly identical across ranks. Only very discreet rank medallions worn at the collar distinguish rank. The reason for this is threefold. First, too clearly identifying officers makes them a target for enemy snipers, potentially disrupting command and control. Second, Klingon warriors are expected to know their superiors on sight, making it more difficult for spies or saboteurs to infiltrate Klingon installations and lastly, the Warrior's Code holds that all Klingon warriors are equal in the sight of Kahless.

1) Warrior's uniform. This is the traditional clothing of a Klingon warrior, regardless of his rank or position. Even the Klingon chancellor usually wears this uniform.
2) Warrior's uniform, variant. Honorable Klingon warriors sometimes wear this stole for special occasions.
3) Warrior's uniform, female. The uniform Klingon women normally wear during their duty.
4) Elite warrior's uniform. This uniform is reserved for elite warriors like the council leader's bodyguards, for example.
5) General's uniform. One of many different uniforms worn by high-ranking Klingon flag officers. The specimen displayed here was worn by General Chang.
