Klingon UniformsUnlike Federation uniforms which are designed to clearly define flag, officer and enlisted personnel, Klingon uniforms are nearly identical across ranks. Only very discreet rank medallions worn at the collar distinguish rank. The reason for this is threefold. First, too clearly identifying officers makes them a target for enemy snipers, potentially disrupting command and control. Second, Klingon warriors are expected to know their superiors on sight, making it more difficult for spies or saboteurs to infiltrate Klingon installations and lastly, the Warrior's Code holds that all Klingon warriors are equal in the sight of Kahless.
