Romulan Rank Insignia

Rank insignia are worn on the left collar, although Romulans sometimes do not wear rank markings at all.

Sublieutenant
Lieutenant
Centurion
Subommander
Commander
Commanders are roughly equivalent to the Starfleet rank of Captain. Commanders command Imperial Warbirds or large stations.
Admiral

 

Ranks in the Tal Shiar, the Romulan intelligence service, are different from the ones used in the Imperial Fleet, although the rank markings look the same. The Tal Shiar rank of Major, for example, uses the same rank insignia as the Fleet rank of Subcommander.
