Romulan uniforms are made of many different grey fabric patterns. These denote the house membership of the wearer and do not reflect any function of rank or assignment.

1 Imperial Fleet duty uniform. This uniform is worn by all soldiers of the Romulan Imperial Fleet during normal duties.
2 Tal Shiar duty uniform. This uniform is worn by operatives of the Tal Shiar, the Romulan intelligence service. It differs from the Fleet uniform in an extra shoulder belt on the right side.
3 Dress uniform. Dress uniforms are worn by both the Imperial Fleet and the Tal Shiar for formal occassions like diplomatic receptions.
4 Retired Duty Uniforms. These are the uniforms Romulan soldiers wore in the 23rd century.
5 Retired Dress Uniforms. These are the uniforms Romulan soldiers wore in the 23rd century.
